΢ƽ to celebrate its 280th commencement on Saturday, May 7, in Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, PA, May 4, 2022: Today,  announced it will hold its on-campus commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 7, at 10:00 a.m. on John Makuvek Field, located on their Main Street campus. The 280th commencement ceremony will be the final event of the weekend to celebrate new ΢ƽ graduates, following Intercultural Graduation and Baccalaureate, both being held on Friday, May 6. 

“The students in the class of 2022 have shown tremendous resilience during their college careers, and I am very happy they’ll be celebrated in person and on campus this Saturday as the first graduating class of ΢ƽ, formerly Moravian College,” said Bryon Grigsby, president of ΢ƽ. “Each and every one of them deserves to enjoy this day with family and friends before they move on to the next chapter of their lives.” 

΢ƽ will confer degrees to nearly 500 bachelor degree candidates, more than 200 graduate degree candidates and several doctoral degree candidates.

During the ceremony on Saturday, Charles Decker ’63, will serve as keynote speaker and will be receiving an Honorary Degree of Humane Letters. Dana Dunn, professor of psychology at ΢ƽ, will make a statement to the graduates.

Benitta Ngobeni, Class of 2022, will make a statement to bachelor’s degree candidates, and Melissa Alleyne, Class of 2022, will address graduate degree candidates.
