Art Education Outcomes

Kelsey Rumpf, Class of 2014

Kelsey King at Payne Gallery Senior Show

Kelsey found her dream art education job within a few months of graduating from Moravian! Charter Tech, in Somers Point, NJ, is a public charter school that focuses on five majors within the arts: Theatre, Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, Dance, and Film/Animation. Students from over 20 counties in NJ attend and pursue a curriculum in the arts and take college preparatory classes. Charter Tech is expanding in their programs; Kelsey was hired to begin the major in the Fine Arts. She will be entirely in charge of designing a rich studio art curriculum - what a wonderful opportunity! All of the teachers at Charter Tech are practicing artists. One performs with the Chicago Opera House, one works with Willie Nelson – even the principal is a performing trumpet player!
